MODULE 5 – LIVING MOODBOARD

Lesson 2 – Tool descriptions

LIVING MOODBOARD is a creative and design-oriented tool conceived to support learners in visually translating the experiences, emotions, and needs that emerged by carrying out the previous activities of this training progamme, guiding them toward a clear and tangible definition of the space to be renovated.

It consists of a physical moodboard built from real materials – colours, textures, surfaces, images, and furnishing elements – carefully selected within a guided booklet developed according to interior design principles.

After choosing one of the four living styles identified in the Trend Research activity (Shared house, Enable house, Supernomal house, Nomadic house), each participant can construct their own visual scenario aligned with the needs identified with the User Journey tool and the atmospheres of that style.

From a technical perspective, the moodboard is a fundamental step in the interior design process: it is commonly used by designers to define the visual concept and facilitate dialogue with end users.

With this toll, this practice becomes accessible to everyone, regardless of technical skills.
